New Secretary :  My name is Pat Finck Young.  For those who don't know me, I was born and raised in the First Presbyterian Church and attended here until 1959 when I got married and left the area for almost 24 years.  I have very fond memories of attending Sunday School and Youth Fellowship here, and the majority of my family still attend here.  I am the sister of Nancy Waughen, Janice Bailey  and Jill Waltman.  I now live in New Columbia and I am the mother of 3 children, 4 grand children and 3 great-grandchildren.  My main passion, other than my family, is reading.  I read anything and always have a book handy.  I also enjoy scrapbooking and card making. I hope I can do a good job as the new church secretary and I am enjoying seeing many faces that I remember over the years.

Pastor Steve, as he is known, has been our pastor for more than 14 years. He was formerly the Youth Pastor at Oreland Presbyterian Church in suburban Philly for 17 years. He is a graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary in Chestnut Hill, Pa. (M. Div.) and is currently a candidate for Doctor of Ministry at Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California. Steve has been married to his beautiful wife Caroline for 29 years. They have two children: Ashley 21 and Alex 18, and a dog named "Chappy". Steve's youth ministry back ground has given him a unique ability to communicate with all ages. Along with his other duties he enjoys giving weekly children's sermons, playing guitar in worship, assisting with Noah's Clubhouse, a ministry for kids K-5th grade, and the youth group.
 
"I came to Christ through the ministry of Young Life where I learned it's a sin to bore a kid with the Gospel. Here at First Pres. we try to keep things interesting with lively preaching and music, home groups, an active Sunday School, and lots of programs for youth and adult fellowship. Jayne has been on staff since 2002 and along with directing our choir teaches piano out of her home in Milton. Jayne often adds a second piano part for special musical numbers. Jayne is married to Jack who also sings in the choir. Together they have become very active in church life. For many years they were involved with the Herndon Camp Meeting Association.

Margette has been on staff since August 2002 and is extremely versitile on organ and piano. Previous to coming to First Presbyterian she was organist and choir director at the Sumbury Presbyterian Church.  She has taught elementary music for many years in the Shikellamy School District. Margette is active with Tres Dias, is married, and has a son attending Bucknell University.
